Dilemma Toothbrush?

We all love that Holliwood smile, don't we? A bright smile gives us the confidence that we need. You never know, that confidence just may prove to impress that one person we have had a crush on since forever. Or it may help us to ace that all important interview to land our dream job. Simply put, a confident smile can change our personal and professional life forever.

And let's not forget the importance of dental hygiene. Most of the oral diseases that we face today can all be traced back to a result of bad dental hygiene. For anyone, maintaining healthy dental habits is absolutely mandatory. Tere are no ifs and buts when it comes to certain things such as brushing the teeth regularly, flossing them, keeping control on eating sweet things, or tongue cleaning. They can save us from a lot of disconforts as well as ensure a beautiful smile.

Brushing the teeth is more than just a healthy habit

There is no doubt that brushing teeth properly is the most important oral hygiene habit. Dentists recommend brushing your teeth at least twice a day. Once before sleeping and one after breakfast. It helps in keeping your teeth and gums clean and healthy and removes the plaque that can shatter your confidence.

Brushing the teeth properly involves a series of steps that we are taught at school and visits to the dentist as a child. But as time progresses, and better technology enters the market, brushing keeps on becoming more effective and easier than ever before.

Traditional toothbrushes had become less interesting a long time back. Their effectiveness had been under scrutiny and dentists along with technologists came up with electric toothbrushes. These toothbrushes were pretty amazing when they first came into the market. However, there certainly was room for improvement ( there always is). After continuous research and many thoughts, the Sonic Toothbrushes have become the latest and to date the most effective toothbrushes in the market.

But which toothbrush to choose?

That certainly is a million dollar question. Like everything that exists in the market, there is a wide variety of sonic toothbrushes to choose from. We came across advertisements from hundreds of brands trying to prove that their toothbrush is the best. It can get pretty confusing if you ask us. But not to worry, because we are here to provide you with a definitive answer which is backed by evidence.

The Snow Pearl Hydroactive Ultra Soft KONEX HD sonic brush is easily the best option. It has a hydroactive function which means that the liquids and the toothpaste are pressed with pulse waves around the teeth and penetrate into the narrowest spaces and slightly below the gum line.

A study at a Swiss University between leading sonic brush brands confirmed that this brush proved to successfully remove the most bacterial biofilm, up to 76%, even in these hard to reach and inaccessible areas.

The KONEX HD Ultra Soft bristles have an extraordinary strength and stability, and at the same time, they are very flexible and soft. The brush tips are eight times thinner than the ones of an ordinary soft toothbrush which means that teeth are cleaned efficiently and to the narrowest interdental spaces without the gum being injured. And here we have the most important key point: no danger of injury for the gums! Most Sonic Toothbrushes have unfortunately much too stiff and hard bristles, which can maybe provide good cleaning but also big damage to the gums and teeth collars. The gums get injured and recede over time exposing the tooth collar. The collars are less resistant to mechanical exposure and over time they will get deep and sensitive defects which will have to be repaired by the dentist.

I am confronted daily in my private clinic in Zürich with the negative consequences of patients using aggressive bristles and decided exactly for this reason that something urgently needed to be done to avoid those irreversible long-term damages on gums and teeth collars. The result of my investigations and studies is the Ultra Soft KONEX HD sonic brush, which provides an excellent cleaning, offering at the same time a 100% protection to gums and teeth collars. I recommend this sonic brush to my patients and my dental hygienists can see the positive results when they see them for the periodic cleaning. An appropriate use of the brush, combined with a good cleaning of the interdental spaces, leads to much less pain during the professional cleaning appointment. My patients need to come less to my clinic for the periodic cleaning, spend less money and their gums and teeth feel clean and remain healthier.
